Acid Scarf

The Acid Scarf grew out of a conversation with a particularly influential woman with whom I have had opportunities to discuss the manner in which I create. While talking about the dying process of fabric, and looking at different colour relationships, we explored the idea of mixing the colours coral and acid yellow on a background of Autumn wheat. I hand-dyed the wool yarn in each of these colours to create the desired depth and contrast, before weaving the design in a twill. This is a rich scarf that adds intrigue to an outfit.
